This notification is distributed annually in compliance with the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Act of 1989, which requires institutions of higher education to certify that they have implemented programs to prevent the unlawful possession, use or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees.
This policy defines prohibited conduct and explains Salve Regina's grievance procedures, including (but not limited to) how to report or file a complaint and how the University will respond.
This form is used to initiate an appeal following the conduct process. Appeals must be submitted to the Dean of Students Office within five days after receiving written notification of the initial decision. The appeal must include a statement supporting the grounds for the appeal and all relevant supporting information.
Salve Regina's CARE (Coordination, Assessment, Response and Education) team supports students who are experiencing issues that impact their ability to succeed in and out of the classroom. The CARE team identifies obstacles, develops plans, connects with students individually and ensures that students are aware of the resources available to them to aid in their success. Any member of the Salve Regina community may submit a CARE referral on behalf of any student.
This form is used to report a complaint against a Salve Regina student for violations of the University’s code of conduct. The completed form is automatically submitted to the Dean of Students Office.
This policy outlines the process for students in good academic and judicial standing to interrupt their studies for the next semester by applying for a general leave of absence.
Salve Regina understands that students may encounter situations when physical or mental health conditions significantly interfere with their ability to function safely and successfully. This policy outlines the process for voluntary and involuntary medical leaves of absence in order to provide time for treatment and recovery.
Protest and Demonstration Policy and Registration Form
Salve Regina supports and commends students who take up the laudable tradition of speaking out against injustice through responsible protests. This policy assists students in maximizing the effectiveness of their events, and the registration form must be submitted at least seven business days prior to the scheduled event.
