Minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

Learn more: Department of Cultural, Environmental and Global Studies

Our women, gender, and sexuality studies program approaches the human experience by considering the impact of gender and sexualities. Coursework examines the intersection of complex relations among gender, sexualities, power, race, class, ethnicity, identity and other cultural forms of difference.

Through our individually tailored program, students may choose to have service learning feature prominently in their course of study, allowing them to discover how issues of gender and sexualities apply to fields of study such as nursing, business, art, education, politics and social work. Within their practical fields of study, students discover the broader issues of social justice, the mission of the University and the dignity of the individual.
