As required by federal law (Clery Act), Salve Regina prepares an annual security compliance document titled "Annual Security/Fire Safety Report" containing statistics and information relating to campus safety procedures and programs. The document is available online. If you would like a paper copy of the report, call (401) 341-2137 or stop by the Office of Safety and Security in Tobin Hall at 167 Webster St. in Newport, R.I.
The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety, including topics such as crime prevention, campus police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus. It also contains information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned by or controlled by the University, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
The Office of Human Resources is located in Stonor Hall.

No. The hiring manager will contact Human Resources to initiate a reference check on a selected candidate. Human Resources will generate a reference check via SkillSurvey Pre-hire 360. The candidate will receive a request to enter reference names. The appointed references will complete a behavioral-based questionnaire. A report is created on the selected candidate with anonymous, aggregated percentages. The finalized report is forwarded to the hiring manager and Director of Human Resources for review.
If you submitted an application and resume online for an open position, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging receipt of your submission. Should your qualifications match what the department is seeking, you may be contacted to schedule an interview. Please note that the University receives many applications and, as such, the process can stretch over a number of weeks, and on occasion, months. If you are not the successful candidate, you will receive an e-mail notification that the position has been filled.
