In keeping with the mission of Salve Regina, the Mercy Center for Spiritual Life is a community that welcomes all people. By virtue of our Catholic heritage and the charism of the Sisters of Mercy, we seek to create a hospitable and nurturing environment that affirms and empowers our students in their search for meaning.
We encourage students to build community, to deepen their faith, to engage in service, to seek justice and to become leaders formed by mercy. Located in the garden level of Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, the Mercy Center provides a large and comfortable space for students to meet, study, cook, relax or grab a snack.
Mercy Center Hours
- Noon to 8 p.m. Sunday
- 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday
- 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday
- Closed on Saturday
Get Involved
Find your purpose at the Mercy Center. From weekly programming to serving communities in need, we offer many opportunities to foster lifelong connections while deepening your faith journey.
Mercy Leadership
We offer many ways to lead through service, including the Mercy in Motion leadership team, retreat leadership, student catechists, immersion trips, liturgical ministries and volunteer opportunities.
Our Mercy Heritage
Our story reaches back in time almost 200 years, to Catherine McAuley and the first Sisters of Mercy. Their vocational commitments and charism continue to form the mission of Salve Regina today.

First-Year Compass Retreats
Compass Retreats for first-year students are a time to get away (retreat), unplug and reflect on the next steps in your journey. As writer Anne Lamont says, "Almost everything works better if you unplug it for a few minutes – including you."
Our Lady of Mercy Chapel
Our Lady of Mercy Chapel is a place of peace. Whether you are attending Mass or just stopping in for a quiet moment during the day, we hope you will find nourishment for your spirit.
Multifaith Prayer Space
Located in the Miley/Walgreen courtyard and open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., the multifaith prayer space offers resources for the expression of many faiths or a moment of peace for those who seek it during the day. In addition to the multifaith prayer space, we encourage the recognition of sacred space and time across our campus and within our community.
