Minor in Biology

To complete the minor in biology, students take a minimum of six courses (20-24 credits).

Required courses:

  • BIO111: General Biology I and BIO112: General Biology II or BIO205: Human Anatomy and Physiology I and BIO206: Human Anatomy and Physiology II
  • BIO220: Cell Biology and Chemistry or BIO253: Genetics: Classical, Molecular and Population

Students also take a minimum of three upper-level biology electives, approved in consultation with the department chair. CHM113: General Chemistry I and CHM114: General Chemistry II may be substituted for two of the biology courses with permission from the department chair.
