"HIDDEN TALENTS" SERIES KICKS OFF WITH PHOTOGRAPHS BY SUE LETOURNEAU
NEWPORT, R.I. – The McKillop Library recently introduced "Hidden Talents," a series of exhibits highlighting the varied abilities of Salve Regina's faculty and staff. The first exhibit in the series, showcasing macro-photographs of carnivorous and exotic plants taken by supervisor of mail services Sue Letourneau, is currently on display in the library's foyer.
The annual Dunes Club summer social will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Dunes Club, located on Boston Neck Road in Narragansett. Tickets are $35 and jacket and tie are required.

Toastmasters, a group that helps people improve their communication, public speaking and leadership skills, will meet from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in Wakehurst 101.

The final orientation session of the summer for freshmen and transfer students will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various campus locations.

The U-Pass program between Salve Regina and the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority will be in effect beginning Monday, Sept. 1. Prior to that date, students cannot use their Salve Regina ID for free transportation on RIPTA vehicles.
Trayless dining as a means to reduce water, energy and food waste is increasing on college campuses across the country. As part of Salve Regina's growth toward a sustainable future, Sodexo Dining Services will no longer use trays in the Miley cafeteria.

More often than not, students are heard saying, "I wish I was more involved." Don't let this be you. Salve Regina has much to offer. The focus of student-operated clubs and organizations ranges from academic majors, athletics and community service to the Student Government Association.
Getting involved is all part of the college experience. To make your college experience more enjoyable, make sure you meet new people, establish connections and begin your networking. Time passes the fastest during your four years of college. Feel enthused looking back and knowing that you gave your best effort to your education. Have passion and put efforts toward the things that make you happy.
