Residence Life

From traditional residence halls to architecturally significant buildings, students at Salve Regina have the opportunity to live in a variety of unique housing options situated throughout our historic campus. Ocean views, fireplaces and grand staircases are common features of the University's residential landscape.

Students residing on campus can easily access downtown Newport on foot or via public transportation. Steeped in history, diversity and religious tolerance, today's Newport is a tourist mecca, with shops, restaurants, museums, galleries and sporting events permeating this "City by the Sea."

New Students

For new students, the room assignment process begins with the online housing application, which provides the Office of Residence Life with the information necessary to assign students a roommate and residence hall room.

Housing applications are available through July 1. Room and roommate requests will be processed after that date. Roommate requests are only granted when all students requesting roommates have indicated the option on their respective applications.

In mid-July, new students receive notification through their Salve Regina email address that their room assignment and roommate information is available through My Salve.
