Major in Biology (B.A.)
Students earning a B.A. in
biology take a minimum of 13 courses (47-51 credits).

Students choose five additional upper-level biology
courses.
Major in Biology (B.S.)
Students earning a B.S. in biology
take a minimum of 20 courses (72-77 credits).

- Organic Chemistry I and II
- Biochemistry
- Applied Calculus I or Calculus

Students choose six additional upper-level biology
courses, three of which must have a laboratory associated with them.
Major in Biology,
Concentration in Environmental Sciences (B.S.)
Students pursuing a concentration in environmental
sciences complete the requirement for a B.S. in biology along with
Environmental Chemistry and Conservation Biology, and choose four of the six upper-level biology
electives from the following:
- Botany
- Microbiology
- Tropical Biology
- Marine Biology
- Environmental Geology and Soil
Science
- Comparative Anatomy
- Ecology
- Evolution
- Environmental Science
Internship
- Undergraduate Research
Major in Biology, Concentration
in Microbiology (B.S.)
Students pursuing a
concentration in microbiology complete the requirements for a B.S. in biology, and take the following courses as their six
