Personal Statement:

During my undergraduate career, I knew I wanted a career that involved helping people. By the time graduation came, I felt overwhelmed with options and did not know exactly what I wanted to do, so I decided to try something completely different and worked as a legal assistant for three years after I graduated. Throughout my time at the law firm, I came to realize this was not the career path for me due to the limited amount of social interaction throughout the day. I heard about higher education as a master's program and career path and, after some research, knew this was something I wanted to pursue. During my graduate program, I worked as a graduate assistant in the career development office at Canisius University and as a career coach for my internship at Nazareth College. I fell in love with the world of higher education and career development, and I am grateful for all the experiences that led me to where I am today.
