What's My Why?

I have been a member of the adjunct faculty at Salve for 35 years, teaching in the healthcare administration graduate and undergraduate programs. I was in the health care field for 45 years prior to my retirement and have worked in hospitals, home and hospice care, assisted living and nursing homes in administrative positions since my retirement in 2015. I have also held an adjunct faculty position in health sciences at Providence College for the past 18 years. Until 2024, I was also a member of the doctoring program in family medicine at the Brown University Medical School for the past 17 years. I believe that a participative style of teaching is most effective and to that end I conduct all my courses. I provide students with all the experience and knowledge that I have garnered in my teaching and professional careers to facilitate interactive learning through maximum student participation.
