What's My Why?

There is nothing I find more fulfilling in my professional life than seeing a student discover something new in their singing capabilities. I am here for their development and growth to aid them in finding growth in their own instrument and style. I am passionate about training singers in all genres of music and enjoy introducing students to new styles of singing that they didn't know they could take on. My students are why I am here, and their success makes my job so fun to come to every day.

Professional Experience

I teach voice lessons to all majors and include all genres of music: classical, musical theater, jazz and contemporary music. As a voice instructor for over 20 years, I have coached many students in successful auditions for district choir, all-state and all-national choir, NATS regional and national competitions, classical singer/auditions plus national competitions, and roles in school, community and professional musical productions. I have also trained in teaching contemporary music and aid students with proper mic technique, pop and jazz vocal styling and working in a recording studio. I held the elected position of region governor for the New England region of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and served on the national board of NATS from 2018-2022. I have also run local and regional NATS student auditions; from registration, venue management, scheduling and website creation to acquiring top talent to judge the finalist concerts.
