What's My Why?

At the heart of my "why" is a dedication to creating future leaders who create environments where both patients and health care professionals can thrive. As faculty at Salve, I aim to teach future leaders the importance of building a team culture, patient-first care and community engagement. By doing so, I hope to inspire students to make meaningful, long-lasting contributions to health care.

Professional Experience

I am a seasoned health care executive with over 35 years of experience in leadership, strategic planning and operations management. Currently serving as president of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, I have successfully expanded service lines, maintained positive operating margins and led major expansion projects. My expertise spans hospital and system-level operations, with a proven track record in service line growth, organizational turnaround and board collaboration. My leadership in operational efficiency, clinical program development and community philanthropy has significantly impacted hospital performance, system integration and strategic affiliations. I am a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and also serve as a preceptor for Xavier University’s graduate program.
