What's My Why?

My interest in scholarship is due in part to growing up in Alexandria, Egypt, known as a center of global knowledge in the ancient world. A Fulbright scholarship enabled me to pursue my graduate studies in the United States. My master's and Ph.D. are in rhetoric and composition studies. In these areas of scholarship, persuasion is combined with process and methodology, which are the cornerstones of my teaching. My goal is to help students build confidence by completing tasks that develop their creativity, problem-solving and communication skills.

Professional Experience

In addition to my role as a professor at Salve, I have also been a translator for various literary and academic research venues.
