What's My Why?
My research is based on creating effective mentor programs for districts in order to support new teachers to the field in diverse settings. Through this work, I have studied a variety of best practices and have incorporated culturally responsive teaching into my professional design. I am passionate about ensuring that education students feel equipped to entire into the career of teaching as they work through the program.
Professional Experience
In addition to my role at Salve Regina University, I am president of the Newport Public Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports teachers and community partners in order to create experiential opportunities for their students.
