The Office of Student Engagement enhances the educational experience by offering a variety of involvement opportunities that challenge, enlighten and entertain. Our programs and initiatives teach students to become stronger leaders, develop positive relationships, respect their peers and community, and immerse themselves in their interests.
We connect students with the Salve Regina community through New Seahawk Orientation, events, student organizations, trainings, advocacy and personal interactions. We strive for an inclusive environment where students can engage with campus life, create a sense of belonging and prepare for future success.

- 8:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday
- 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday
Welcoming New Students
New Seahawk Orientation provides new students and their families with an educational and engaging introduction to life at Salve Regina. Featuring several signature events, our programming helps students meet new people, learn about University resources, and explore the campus and Newport community.
Gerety Hall
A hub for student life, the newly renovated Gerety Hall hosts a wide variety of campus events and student activities, along with late-night dining options. During the warmer months, Gerety Hall’s expansive lawn provides an ideal setting for barbecues, carnivals and bonfires.
Student Organizations
With 70 student organizations on campus, there are endless opportunities to indulge your passions and interests. Our extracurricular offerings cultivate growth and inspire leadership development, enhancing the student experience and creating positive social change.
