Office of Information Technology
The Office of Information Technology creates a positive and personal experience for the Salve Regina community by delivering technical solutions that support the University’s goals and mission. We implement technology projects that add value, provide ongoing operations and support, and innovate through continuous research and development.
Our goal is to provide cost-effective technologies and services that meet the needs of the University today and into the future. At our core, we aim to provide exceptional customer service, facilitate technology collaboration across the University and value diversity, cultures, education and work styles while operating as a cohesive team.
Technology Issues and Questions
All technology issues and questions should be submitted to the Technology Services Center via phone or email. Please call (401) 341-7777 from off campus or Ext. 7777 from on campus, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We are located in the McKillop Library, Room 002 (garden level).
Technology Services Center staff are skilled in troubleshooting various software and hardware technologies for Mac and HP users. We also provide access and support for printing and scanning, multimedia services, media services (AV), classroom and lab technology, and Salve Regina ID cards.
The Campus portal, Salve Regina's modern and customizable intranet, features an enhanced user experience and functionality. Current students, faculty and staff can utilize the Campus portal to access services, applications and collaboration tools in an integrated platform. The Campus portal also offers search functionality and provides a single destination to resources such as documents, training guides and forms.
The Office of Information Technology maintains a system maintenance window from 5-9 p.m. on Fridays. All standard system and network maintenance is scheduled during these hours, with reminder notifications issued through the Campus portal. When major or emergency system and network upgrades are needed, the campus community will receive email notifications with details about expanded maintenance windows.
