Accounting and Finance Club
The Accounting and Finance Club provides students with opportunities to explore careers in accounting and finance, connect with industry professionals, and build a strong professional network. Each year, the club hosts events such as industry speaker sessions, career panels, and networking opportunities with alumni and recruiters. Signature events include Public Accounting Night, the Salve Student Internship Panel, and the "What I Wish I Knew" event, where upperclassmen share insights with underclassmen from these majors. The club also collaborates with professional organizations and hosts regional conferences, further enhancing students' career readiness and engagement in the field.
Alpha Mu Alpha
An international honor society sponsored by the American Marketing Association, Alpha Mu Alpha acknowledges the achievements of outstanding marketing students across the globe.
American College of Healthcare Executives
Salve’s chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) provides students with valuable opportunities for professional growth, industry engagement, and career development in healthcare administration. Open to undergraduates, graduate students, and mid-career professionals, the chapter connects members with the Rhode Island ACHE network and hosts events such as panel discussions, networking opportunities, and industry-specific workshops. Through these initiatives, students gain insights into key healthcare topics, build professional relationships, and enhance their readiness for leadership roles in the field.
American Marketing Association
The American Marketing Association is an international organization for students interested in furthering their study and practice of marketing. Salve’s chapter provides marketing resources and education by offering professional development activities and networking opportunities. National competitions and local community service projects not only enhance members' skills and knowledge, but also promote ethical decision-making and responsible citizenship.
Enactus
Enactus is an international student organization comprised of 72,000 students from over 1,700 college campuses and 35 different countries. Salve's Enactus team is dedicated to helping local businesses and non-profit organizations find solutions to their complex, real-world problems. Each year, Enactus holds national competitions in 36 different countries to give colleges the opportunity to showcase their teams’ projects and determine a national championship team, which then advances to compete at the Enactus World Cup, where one college team is crowned the best team in the world.
Eta Sigma Delta International Hospitality Honor Society
Salve's chapter of the Eta Sigma Delta (ESD) International Honor Society recognizes outstanding academic achievement among hospitality and tourism students. Administered by the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Education, ESD provides its members with valuable professional, organizational, and educational benefits, enhancing their credentials in a competitive global industry. Each year, high-achieving students are inducted into ESD during the university’s honors and awards ceremony, distinguishing themselves among educators, recruiters, and industry leaders. Membership in ESD not only acknowledges academic excellence but also reinforces Salve Regina’s commitment to developing future hospitality and tourism professionals.
IMA Accounting Honor Society
The International Management Accountants’ honor society recognizes and honors academic achievement in the study of accounting and financial management, and provides an opportunity for students to differentiate themselves as they begin their career journey. Students are invited to join the society in the spring of their junior or senior year.
Investment Club
The Investment Club utilizes virtual trading platforms to analyze trading strategies and manage individual student portfolios. Club meetings involve a detailed review and critique of trading activities and strategies, evaluation of portfolio returns and projections of future markets outlooks. The club sponsors frequent guest speakers. Selected club members travel to Chicago to attend and compete in the national Student Managed Investment Fund Conference and Competition.
Omicron Delta Epsilon International Honor Society for Economics
Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious academic honor societies dedicated to economics. The society's mission is to recognize exceptional scholastic achievement in the field of economics and honor outstanding contributions to the discipline. ODE fosters closer connections between students and faculty, promoting collaboration within and across academic institutions.
Sigma Beta Delta
Sigma Beta Delta, the International Honor Society for Business, Management and Administration, recognizes the highest levels of academic excellence and personal achievement among undergraduate and graduate students within the department. Sigma Beta Delta serves as a mark of distinction, celebrating students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, scholarship, and ethical standards in their academic and professional endeavors. Membership provides students with valuable networking opportunities, enhancing their credentials and preparing them for success in the global business world.
Student Networking Association
The Student Networking Association gives students the opportunity to network and actively prepare for their future careers, beginning with their first year on campus. In partnership with the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement and the Center for Advising, Career and Life Design, the Student Networking Association connects members with alumni in their respective fields. Students can network and connect with career professionals for internship opportunities and career advice. Workshops held throughout the year feature guest speakers such as Salve faculty and staff and professionals from the city of Newport.
