Ochre Lodge, a seaside villa completed in 1883, accommodates sophomore students. Designed by renowned local architect Dudley Newton, the structure is an excellent example of the Shingle-style villas built in Newport during the late 19th century.
Commissioned by Julia Eldridge of New York, the structure features balconies, alcoves and verandas in a variety of woods and finishes. Located on Ruggles Avenue, Ochre Lodge was given to Salve Regina in 1966 by Anita O'Keeffe Young, sister of American painter Georgia O'Keeffe.
