Major in Mathematics (B.A.)

Our curriculum allows students to combine the study of mathematics with in-depth study of another field. To earn the bachelor’s degree in mathematics, students take a minimum of 13 courses (41 credits).

Required courses:

  • Discrete Mathematics
  • Calculus III
  • Linear Algebra
  • Differential Equations
  • Analysis I and II
  • Geometry
  • Abstract Algebra
  • Statistical Theory I and II
  • Scientific Programming
  • Principles of Physics I and II

While Calculus I and II are not included in the major requirements, they or their equivalents are prerequisites for several required courses.
