
The Office of Student Activities offers a variety of fun, entertaining and interactive events throughout the academic year.
Interested in joining a club on campus? Club Rush is your best bet to learn more about the clubs and organizations officially recognized by the university. Club Rush is held outdoors, weather permitting, adjacent to the McAuley Hall Rose Garden on the second Wednesday of the fall semester.
Student organizations are encouraged take advantage of Club Rush to promote their organization and recruit new members. Student groups interested in sponsoring a table at Club Rush can pick up a registration form at the office of student activities. The registration deadline is 5pm Friday the week prior to the event date.

Accepting a leadership role in a student organization can be a challenging, rewarding and sometimes frustrating experience. Recognizing this, the office of student activities offers club orientation sessions in September for current student leaders and again in January for newly recognized student groups.
Participants learn about leadership, university policies and procedures, and campus resources. Club orientation is held the third Friday of the fall semester and lasts approximately four hours. Specific dates and times are communicated to clubs by email and written notices placed in club mailboxes. All recognized student organizations are required to send a representative to orientation.

The office of student activities sponsors monthly president's council meetings designed to increase communication and collaboration between recognized student organizations. Meetings are open to presidents or appointed delegates from each recognized group.
A typical meeting consists of general announcements, information sharing among clubs and organizations and a training session facilitated by student activities staff. Meeting schedules are distributed through club mailboxes in the student center office at the start of each semester. Agendas are available at each meeting.
