STUDENT ACTIVITIES

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

We understand the importance of a well-rounded education.  In addition to the classroom, opportunities for growth and development are available throughout the University.  One such opportunity is through student employment.

The Office of Student Activities hires students to fill numerous work study positions during the academic year including building managers and office assistants.  Most positions are filled during the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters; however, openings do occur periodically throughout the academic year.

We encourage student employees to have fun and enjoy their experience working in the student center.  That said, it is important that employees take their responsibilities seriously, conduct themselves in a professional manner and respond to student needs as they arise.

For more information about student employment opportunities contact the director of student activities at 341-2225 or stop by the office located in 012 Wakehurst Student Center.

Office Assistants

Office assistants are responsible for providing office coverage and support during morning and afternoon hours of operation.  Specific responsibilities include: create a welcoming environment for students; respond to student needs and requests in a timely manner; assist with the daily functions of the Office of Student Activities; serve as a liaison between Student Activities and other University offices; assist with the planning and implementation of student activity events.
