The university Surf Club, is a recreational organization that
promotes the sport of surfing. Located on the Cliff Walk in Newport,
RI, Salve Regina University is a prime location for students who love
to surf, or are interested in learning to surf.
The Surf Club, founded in the fall of 2003, offers "Learn-to-Surf"
sessions in the fall semester, when the water is still warm. Other activities
include watching surfing movies in the Little Theater at Wakehurst Student
Center, and surf trips to the local beaches.
