"The Salve Regina University Chapter of the National Mercy Honor Society is comprised of students distinguished for their scholarship, fidelity, and service. These students, through Sigma Phi Sigma, work together representing the University as they continue their pursuit of the ideals of the Sisters of Mercy and the Honor Society. The Honor Society offers its members the opportunity to continue the pursuit of the intellectual life, to deepen their fidelity, and to continue their service to the University, and the Civic Community."
