COMPETITIONS AMA Competes in 5 Competitions. They are the Annual 2006-2007 Gabriel Urso (‘07), Bethel Becker (’07), Kristin Wells (’07), and Ashley Bickford (’07) attending the 2007 AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans. 2005-2006 Krystal Carcieri (05), Tarra Del Chiaro (05), Nicole Stone (05), and Carla Haddad (05) represented Salve Regina University at the 2006 Orlando, FL Conference. All four of our representatives attended numerous seminars and presentations, and participated in the Northwest Mutual Financial Network Sales Competition, also bringing home: Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Sales Competition Outstanding Community Service

Outstanding Chapter in the Northeast Region This award is only given to two chapters in each of the four regions in the US! This award recognizes the SRU AMA’s accomplishment in ALL categories. This is an unbelievable feat given the infancy of this chapter, and the size of the chapters with which we were competing (some had budgets of more than $20,000 for AMA!). Honorable Mention: Outstanding Website! This was a new category (one that was never even officially part of the competition). Judges secretly visited all chapters’ websites and rated them. Salve’s AMA chapter website was named one of the top 10 in the country! Faculty Advisor of the Year! Dr. Warrington received the Hugh G. Wales Faculty Advisor of the Year award. The E-Board wrote a letter of nomination and Dr Warrington was selected from 300 faculty advisors across the country!

2003-2004 Alicia Pensarosa (04), Jamie Greene (04), Kristin DeVeault(05), & Meagan Shaw(05) represented Salve Regina University's Chapter in New Orleans (2004), bringing home Best Marketing Week Activities and 2nd place in the Case Competition using the theme "Navigate Your Way to Success" and incorporating a magic show into their presentation.
