Co-Curricular Program

The student life co-curricular program is designed to strengthen the intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development of students beyond the classroom. Integrated throughout four years of study, the program begins during summer orientation.

The First Year Experience introduces students to service learning under the guidance of a first year advisor and a sophomore mentor.

Workshops designed for second year students build on this foundation, allowing them to explore citizenship, career choices, personal values and spirituality. Coordinated programming for juniors and seniors places an emphasis on transition issues -- employment, graduation and re-integration.

Student Leadership Development

A number of positions, clubs and organizations within the student life division offer opportunities for students to develop leadership skills. They include:

Annual Student Leadership Conference
Orientation Leaders (OLs)
Positive Role Model Program (PROM)
Resident Assistants (RAs)
Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAACs)
Student Athlete Mentors (SAMs)

For further information on these and other leadership opportunities, contact the student life office at 401-341-2204
