- Feb. 22 to March 11: Complete the Commencement RSVP form.
- By March 6: Order cap, gown and hood from Herff Jones.
- March 21-23: Financial aid exit interviews.
- April: Pick up cap, gown and hood at the Salve Regina bookstore.
- April 3-7: Commencement packet pickup, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Commencement Office (McAuley Hall, Room 101)
- May 2: Final day to pay the graduation fee and settle any outstanding financial obligations to the University.
Undergraduate students: Commencement packets containing announcements and tickets must be picked up at the Commencement Office, located in McAuley Hall, Room 101. Packets will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 7. Packets not picked up on these dates will be sent via the U.S. Postal Service to your preferred mailing address.
Tickets are required for admission to Commencement. Each undergraduate will be given eight tickets and four commemorative announcements. The announcement cannot be used to gain admission to the Commencement ceremony. No additional tickets will be available.
Tickets are not needed for the nursing pinning or Honors and Awards Ceremony on Saturday morning, or for the Hooding Ceremony/Baccalaureate Mass on Saturday afternoon.
Graduate students: Commencement packets containing commemorative announcements and pertinent information will be mailed via the U.S. Postal Service to your primary mailing address.
Tickets are not required for admission to Commencement. Each graduate student will receive four commemorative announcements.
Additional commemorative announcements may be purchased from Jostens. You can place orders by calling (800) 854-7464 or visiting the Jostens website.
Full academic regalia (including a cap) is required for all ceremonies. You must order a cap (with tassel), gown and hood from Herff Jones by March 6. You can pay for and pick up your items at the bookstore in April. Questions regarding regalia should be directed to the bookstore at (401) 847-9086 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Men should wear black shoes, black socks, dark trousers (preferably black), a white shirt, a dark tie, a black gown, a cap with black tassel and an honor cord if applicable. Women should wear black shoes, neutral stockings, a dress, a black gown, a cap with a black tassel and an honor cord if applicable. Hoods presented at the Baccalaureate Mass are worn at Commencement.
During the Commencement ceremony, only University-recognized cords, stoles or pins may be worn on the outside of the gown. Corsages or other ornamentation are not allowed.
Undergraduate students: Financial aid recipients are required to attend a loan exit interview if during their time at Salve Regina they received one or more of the following loans: Federal Perkins Loan, Nursing Student Loan, Federal Subsidized Direct Student Loan or Federal Unsubsidized Direct Student Loan.
You may choose any session, but must attend one session. Students who do not attend an exit interview session will not receive their diplomas at Commencement.
Graduate students: Financial aid recipients may attend a loan exit interview if during their time at Salve Regina, they received one or more of the following loans: Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Subsidized Direct Student Loan or Federal Unsubsidized Direct Student Loan.
Graduate students and distance learners are welcome, but not required, to attend one of the sessions, but must complete the online exit interview to receive a diploma at Commencement.

All exit interviews will be held in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall.
A graduation fee of $225 is charged. Even if you do not participate in Commencement activities, this fee must be paid to defray the cost of announcements, diplomas, diploma cases, mailings and activities. This fee is automatically billed to your account and must be paid to the Business Office before May 2.
In addition, all financial obligations to the University, including outstanding tuition, library fees and parking violations, must be satisfied or the University will not allow you to participate in the Commencement ceremony. The University will not issue your diploma or final transcripts until your account is settled.

During the Commencement ceremony, all graduates receive a diploma cover. Graduates will automatically receive their diplomas via the U.S. Postal Service to the address listed on the Application to Graduate.
The 67th annual Commencement Ball will be held Thursday, May 18 at the Newport Marriott Hotel. The event will begin with a reception at 7 p.m., followed by dinner at 8 p.m. and dancing until 1 a.m. Attire for the occasion is formal. As tickets to the ball are limited, students should purchase their tickets early.
