ANNUAL FUND COMMEMORATIVE ORNAMENTS
2007 Commemorative Ornament Ochre Court’s stately grandeur is as impressive today as it was in the Gilded Age. Richard Morris Hunt, the famous American architect, modeled Ochre Court after the Middle Ages Chateaux of France’s Loire Valley. The Great Hall, rising up over three breathtaking stories, recalls the courtly life of medieval Europe. High above the Great Hall, twelve carytids (carved human figures) support the vaulted ceiling, painted with a mythological banquet scene including the Roman deities Jupiter, Juno, Venus and Paris. Today, after more than 100 years, the painting’s brilliant colors still stir the imagination. Ochre Court – The Banquet is available solely through Salve Regina University and all proceeds benefit Salve Regina students. This ornament is currently in production and will be available after December 1. Take advantage of our special offer by ordering the Ochre Court package of four ornaments: Through the Gates, Medieval Glass, Seaside and The Banquet.
