Public Health Administration
The dawn of the 21st century provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the current health of the public, what we have accomplished as a nation and as a society and the challenges that we face as a nation in the future years. This course examines the historical development of public health, the organization and responsibilities of public health in the United States, health promotion and disease prevention, health status and risk factors. The final section of this course looks to emergency preparedness and response roles of public health, and concludes with a discussion of the future of public health as we enter this new century.
