SALVE REGINA RECOGNIZES 11 INDIVIDUALS DURING SPORTS AWARDS CEREMONY
NEWPORT, R.I. – Salve Regina recognized 11 individuals during its end-of-year Sports Awards Ceremony May 4. The recipients were honored in seven categories – Seahawk Spirit Award, Sportsmanship Award, Brother Michael Reynolds Award, Meghan E. Strathman Award, Sister Philemon Banigan Award, Distinguished Senior Scholar-Athlete and Athlete of the Year.
Commencement Week: The Senior Recognition Liturgy will be held at 7 p.m. in the Ochre Court chapel. The liturgy will celebrate the spiritual and personal growth of Salve Regina's seniors.

Final grades for all students are due in the Office of the Registrar by noon today.
The ninth annual Alumni Golf Tournament will be held at the Montaup Country Club in Portsmouth. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. for the noon shotgun start.
Commencement Week: Buses will depart campus at 4:30 p.m. for the Pawtucket Red Sox game against the Norfolk Tides. This is a closed event for graduating seniors only.
Congratulations to Whitney Bushee '08, who was honored as a Distinguished Student-Athlete by the Rhode Island Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women. While at Salve Regina, Bushee was selected to the Commonwealth Coast Conference's all-conference teams seven times – four for field hockey and three for women's lacrosse.
The Miller Analogies Test will be administered at 2 p.m. Monday, May 19 in the McKillop computer lab 006. No pre-registration is required. For more information, call the Office of Graduate Studies at Ext. 2338.
Transcript service for both official and unofficial transcripts has been suspended to allow time for grade entry. The pause is necessary to avoid issuing incomplete transcripts during the grade entry period. Transcript service will be resumed Monday, May 19 except for graduates, who will have transcript service resumed by Friday, May 23.

More often than not, students are heard saying, “I wish I was more involved.” Don’t let this be you. Salve Regina has much to offer. The focus of student-operated clubs and organizations ranges from academic majors, athletics and community service to the Student Government Association.
Getting involved is all part of the college experience. To make your college experience more enjoyable, make sure you meet new people, establish connections and begin your networking. Time passes the fastest during your four years of college. Feel enthused looking back and knowing that you gave your best effort to your education. Have passion and put efforts toward the things that make you happy.
Steven Guntharp '10 jumps back to first base during a 9-6 victory against Colby-Sawyer College in the Commonwealth Coast Conference playoffs May 1. The Seahawks' season ended May 3 with a loss to Western New England College.
