Are you interested in developing or teaching on online course but aren't sure what is involved? Do you want to add web-based instruction to your on-campus course? Are you just looking for information on how to manage your online course better?

The University provides training and support for all faculty who wish to use My WebCourses to enhance a campus-based course or who teach in our online graduate programs.

Getting Started

How do I get my course set up in My WebCourses?

Send an e-mail to Annette Torrey that includes:

  • Course number
  • Course title
  • Semester you plan to first use the course
  • Your name and Salve e-mail address

How do students get access to my course?

Online Studies Courses

Students are placed automatically in your courses by the Online Studies' staff.

On-Campus Courses

You must send an e-mail to Annette Torrey at least one week before the semester starts requesting that students be placed in your My WebCourses course. The request must include the course number and section. Late requests cannot be guaranteed access on the first day of classes.

How do I learn to use My WebCourses?

There are several options for developing your skills with My WebCourses:

  1. Access our online tutorials on the Faculty Tech Help page.
  2. Read the My WebCourses Newsletter.
  3. Attend on-campus training sessions.
  4. Schedule a one-on-one conference about using My WebCourses in your course.
