A professor at the Walisongo State Institute for Islamic Studies in Indonesia, Dr. Mas`ud won a Fulbright Scholarship to study in the U.S. and obtained both a Masters and Ph.D in Islamic Studies from UCLA. As Vice Director of the graduate program at Walisongo State Institute, he enjoys teaching classes on Islam and the West. His main goal is to bridge the gap between these two groups, while at the same time focusing on how the West interacts with the Muslim world.
