PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES PELL VISITING FELLOWS AND SCHOLARS PROGRAM PELL FELLOWS Visiting Fellows are invited to conduct research addressing issues arising at the intersection of international relations and public policy. Each Fellow takes up residence at the University, which provides space and support facilities to allow the Fellow to conduct research and participate in the academic life and activities of the Pell Center and the University. Fellows contribute to intellectual exchange and inquiry within the University as they advance their own research. Fellows may share their work through meetings with graduate or undergraduate classes and students, public lectures, and publications disseminated through the University’s website. Visiting Fellows may also audit courses in international relations and public policy and related subjects. Pell Visiting Fellowships may be for as brief a time as two weeks, or as long as 6 months. Fellows are not charged for the services and space provided by the Pell Center. The Pell Center does not, as a general matter, fund Fellows or provide them with living expenses. When a fellowship candidate would not be able to commit to a Pell Visiting Fellowship without additional financial assistance, however, every effort will be made to make aid available. The Pell Center will provide letters in support of Fellows’ applications for funding to foundations and other institutions.
