Programs and Activities

The Pell Center organizes and sponsors a wide range of programs and activities aimed at furthering the principal goals of Sen. Claiborne Pell. Public lectures examine pressing issues at the local, national and global level and are matched to themes that underscore the Pell legacy. International conferences and workshops allow participants to explore topics related to international security, cultural challenges, economic shifts and the emergence of new global alignments.

The Pell Fellows and Pell Scholars programs offer thoughtful individuals with a demonstrated commitment to their fields the time and space to pursue sustained research and study. And the Pell Center's community outreach programs, designed for middle and high school students throughout New England, emphasize the mission of the Pell Center to help inform the public of the world’s complexities and prepare citizens for service.
