Audio Visual

The Audiovisual Department provides students, faculty and staff with assistance as it relates to the audiovisual area. These services include but are not limited to:

  • Hardware distribution (slide projectors, overhead projectors, screens, etc.)
  • Video filming
  • Editing videos

Editing Policy : The Audiovisual Department will assist any student or faculty member wishing to use the editing machine. The editing machine can only be used for University related activities. The editing machine will not be used for editing of homemade movies. If a student does not follow the University policy of editing, the privilege will be denied.

  • Audio cassette duplications
  • VHS and DVD duplications

Duplicating Policy: The Audiovisual Department will not knowingly duplicate any copyrighted material unless written permission from the copyright holder, or authorized representative, is obtained and submitted to the Audiovisual Department along with the material to be copied. This includes duplicating videocassettes, audio recordings, etc.

The Audiovisual Department also loans out equipment to students, faculty and staff. A valid Salve Regina University identification card must be shown for loans. All audiovisual equipment will be available for instructional purposes only.

  • Video camera
  • Portable sound system

The Audiovisual Department sets up equipment within the University for student presentations and guest speakers. Forty-eight hour notice is required before setups. A week's notice is required for video taping lectures or student presentations. Appointments are needed for editing videos.
