What percentage of students on this campus have full-time use of personal computers?

All University residence hall rooms are wired for data network connections. In addition, the University Computer Lab provides 92 hours of operation with over one hundred and twenty computer stations in support of student computer needs.

Salve Regina is in its third year of being a required laptop school. Every new student is provided with a new laptop, through a one-time purchase, upon arrival. The laptop is maintained and serviced on site for the full 4-year experience at the university.

What is the ratio of public access computers to undergraduate enrollment?

There is one public access computer for approximately every ten undergraduate students at the University.

What percentage of students use e-mail and other software applications on a regular basis?

Every student enrolled at the University is provided with an e-mail account. All official University business distributed through e-mail uses the University assigned student e-mail account.

Does the campus allow personal student Web pages?

The University allows personal student Web pages. Most of the current activity in the development of student Web pages is associated with course assignments.

Is contact information for students, faculty, and staff readily accessible electronically?

Online directories for University faculty, staff and student parties are accessible electronically. These directories provide e-mail and telephone extension information.

What social activities and services are available over the Web?

There is a searchable University web calendar (Resource 25 / Web Viewer) accessible as a Quick Link off the Salve site that displays events scheduled on campus. The searchable calendar includes information pertaining to course classes, athletic events, student activities, conferences, meetings and special events.

Are there Web sites for student organizations and clubs, and are these linked to the campus home page?

The Student Life section of the home web site includes information on all of the student organizations on campus. Many of these organizations work with the Student Activities office for guidance and programming support
