What information about admissions and financial aid is available online, and can necessary forms be submitted electronically?
Both the Admissions office and the Financial Aid office have extensive web sites that are easily linked from the University’s home site at www.salve.edu. There are numerous sets of information and forms available on the web pertaining to applying to Salve Regina University, investigating financial aid, exploring the housing offerings, involving parents, visiting our campus and meeting our admissions counselors.
Is the college catalog, including important campus policies, available on the Web?
All of the academic policies and procedures are available on the home web site, under the Registrar and Student Services link.
Can a student access her personal student information/data online?
Each Salve Regina University student is provided with a user name and password to access his or her personal student information/data online on the MySalve portal at http://my.salve.edu. This includes confidential access to their schedule, grades, grade history and financial statement status.
Can a student find out his grades online or by phone at the end of a semester?
Each student is provided with a user name and password to access their grades online through the MySalve portal at http://my.salve.edu after the end of the semester.
Is registration, including dropping and adding courses, processed electronically (either online or via phone)?
The electronic registration of courses (including dropping and adding capabilities) by using the internet has been implemented in production mode.
Can students pay bills, receive loans, and make campus bookstore purchases using online procedures?
Currently students are able to pay their bills using online procedures provided by the Tuition Management Services (TMS) vendor. The financial aid office heavily uses internet procedures in the processing of loans. The campus bookstore vendor, Follett, has a web site that can be linked from the Salve Regina University MySalve portal site for the purchase of textbooks for courses.
What campus and community services are covered by “smart cards” or “debit cards”?
Salve Regina University uses the SalveCard system to provide a multi-purpose ID card for its community members. The SalveCard can be used in the Library, the Rodgers Recreation Center, for meal plan tracking, for residence hall access, for debit card purchases and for vending machines. The system has been in effect since 1999.
