Microsoft Office 2007

Through the university’s Microsoft Campus Agreement, Salve Regina is upgrading its standard Office suite to the latest release, Microsoft Office 2007. This latest release of Office 2007 includes several new features (approximately 176) with the two most notable being a new user interface (the ‘ribbon’ interface) and a new file format (XML-based). It should be noted that any documents created under the existing Office 2003 format are compatible with Office 2007.

In order to assist in the migration to Office 2007, several considerations have to be acknowledged which affect students, faculty and staff.
