- Do you have a job posting “hotline”?
No, Salve Regina University does not have a job posting “hotline”. However, all positions are posted on the Human Resources link on the Internet at http://www.salve.edu/offices/hr/index.cfm.
- Where is the Office of Human Resources located?
The Human Resources Office is located on the second floor in Ochre Court, the Administration Building, at 100 Ochre Point Avenue, Newport, RI 02840-4192.
- How can I stay informed about job openings?
You may log onto the SRU website at http://www.salve.edu/offices/hr/index.cfm.
We also advertise in paper publications including the Newport Daily News, Sakonnet Times and Providence Journal, and websites such as www.higheredjobs.com, www.academiccareers.com and www.studentaffairs.com.
- Where can I find out about teaching positions?
All full-time faculty openings are listed on the HR website. Inquiries regarding faculty openings should be referred to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. You may call the office at (401) 341-2342.
- May I send my resume to Human Resources?
For any open staff and faculty positions, applicants must apply on line. We do not accept any unsolicited resumes. You may go to http://www.salve.edu/offices/hr/index.cfm to view and/or apply for any current job openings.
- Can I email my resume?
No, all applicants must apply online. You may go to http://www.salve.edu/offices/hr/index.cfm to view and/or apply for any current job openings.
- Do I need to send my references initially?
Names of three references may be attached as part of your online application. If you have letters of reference they can be brought to campus if you are contacted for an interview.
- How do I find out about the status of my application?
If you submitted an application and resume online for an open position, you will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your submission. Should your qualifications match what the department is seeking, you may be contacted to schedule an interview. Please note that the University receives many applications and, as such, the process can stretch over a number of weeks, and on occasion, months. If you are not the successful candidate, you will receive an email notification that the position has been filled.
