Federal Stafford Loan Lender List
Stafford Loans are Federal Student Loans, which are listed in the Student's Award Letter. Salve Regina students are free to choose any lender that participates in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP). We provide a list of recommended Stafford Loan lenders below. These lenders have been chosen based on the remarkable customer service they offer our students.
For Undergraduate students, the interest rate for the Subsidized Stafford
Loan is fixed at 5.6 % and 6.8 % for the Unsubsidized Stafford Loan. Graduate Students will have an interest rate of 6.8 % for both the Subsidized and Unsubsidized portion of the Stafford Loans.
If you wish to use a lender not listed below, please e-mail the lender name and code to us at financial_aid@salve.edu. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Financial Aid. Loans are disbursed electronically to our school, allowing funds to be posted directly to the student's account. Please click on the lender's name to start the application process.
A 1.5% fee will be deducted from the total loan amount upon disbursement.
Note: The fees include a 0.5% Lender Origination and a 1% Federal Default fee, which will be deducted from the total loan amount upon disbursement. Lenders reserve the right to change or discontinue their Borrower Benefits and Fees.
