Interviewing
Interviews require a great deal of preparation. Employers expect you to research their company and be able to describe why you're a good fit. Yet, being objective about your own experiences is sometimes difficult and marketing yourself with confidence is even harder.
Mock Interview
Students may make an appointment at the Office of Career Development to schedule a mock interview. You will be asked interview questions appropriate to your major or career interest. After the interview, an advisor will constructively critique your performance. This is an ideal way to objectively view your body language, and hear how your voice inflections communicate either enthusiasm or disinterest to a prospective interviewer. The Office of Career Development also arranges for external Human Resource professionals to participate in the mock interview program.
