SERVICES FOR PARENTS PARENT MENTORING PROGRAM As a parent and working professional, you possess invaluable knowledge and experience that can benefit your son’s or daughter’s classmates. In return, your son or daughter may have an opportunity to benefit from another student’s parent. This program will allow you to share your unique career insight and expertise with aspiring students. Here is how you can help: Job Shadowing - Allow a student, who is matched with your career area, to spend a portion of your workday with you. This would allow students to experience a typical work day of a professional in his or her chosen profession. Informational Meeting – This is an opportunity for a student to discuss your career and ask for your opinion on how they may best pursue a similar career. Internship / Job Opportunity – You may post internship and / or job opportunities with the Career Development Center to be viewed by all students on our on-line (CSO) system. Parents may determine how they wish to be contacted by students, and may set a limit on the number of contacts per semester.
