| Grade Point Average (GPA) Computation The GPA is determined by dividing quality points by quality credits. Undergraduate courses may be repeated with the lower grade excluded from the GPA and duplicate credits excluded from the cumulative total. Specific exceptions in which the credits of duplicate course numbers accumulate toward graduation (notably certain visual and performing arts courses) are identified in the university catalog. GPA Calculator In order to calculate your GPA you can get an unofficial transcript from either an Academic Advisor or the Registrar. Find your current semester courses, underneath the classes you are enrolled in you will find the information you need to calculate your GPA and find out what you need this semester in order to earn your desired GPA. * Please be aware that a ‘P’ carries no quality points, when a student registers for a course on a Pass/Fail basis (e.g. some workshops, some physical education course, etc.) and passes this is not factored into the GPA. Students receive credit for such courses, but ‘P’ has no numerical equivalent and so is not computed in the average. An ‘F’ in a Pass/Fail course is, however, factored into the average. Please consider this when you are entering the number of credits you are currently enrolled in (e.g. you are taking five 3- credit courses and one workshop you may earn 16 credits for the semester, but you should enter only 15 credits into the GPA calculator)
