Jane Gerety, RSM, brings to Salve Regina a rich variety of academic and administrative experiences, as well as a strong commitment to the Sisters of Mercy and its various missions. She taught at the junior high and high school levels for several years before moving to the collegiate level, where she received awards for excellence in teaching at both the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Carlow University in Pittsburgh.

At Carlow University, Sister Jane served as academic dean, associate professor of English, director of the public leadership program and a learning skills specialist. She entered the health care industry in 1992, joining the Saint Joseph's Health System in Atlanta as senior vice president, sponsorship, and corporate compliance officer before being appointed executive board officer in 2008. She has been a member of Salve Regina's Board of Trustees since 1995.

Sister Jane earned a bachelor's degree in French from Mount Saint Agnes College in Baltimore, a master's degree in French from Middlebury College in Vermont and a doctorate in English from the University of Michigan.
