Friday, April 13, 2012

NEWPORT, R.I. – Callista Gingrich, president of the Washington, D.C.-based multimedia production company Gingrich Productions and the wife of former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, will be the guest of Salve Regina’s College Republicans when she visits campus on Monday, April 16.

Gingrich will speak about the current election cycle and her belief in “American Exceptionalism” as a pivotal factor in determining the direction and survival of our nation. Her talk, free and open to the public, will be presented at 7 p.m. in Room 107 of the Antone Academic Center on Lawrence Avenue.

“As an American, I believe we have the freedom to live our dreams,” said Marie Foti, president of Salve Regina’s College Republicans. “Callista Gingrich is an example of this. She is more than just the wife of former Speaker, Newt Gingrich. As the president of Gingrich Productions, and her involvement with the Gingrich Foundation, a non-profit corporation that gives out annual scholarships to instrumental music, she has made herself known across the United States. Her talk on American Exceptionalism hopes to inspire us to live to our fullest potential in the country of liberty.”
