NEWPORT, R.I. – East Africa’s war-affected children will tell their real-life stories about genocide when Invisible Children brings the Legacy Tour to Salve Regina University on Monday, March 29 at 6 p.m.
Free and open to the public, the Legacy Tour presentation of film and first-hand accounts will be given in Bazarsky Lecture Hall, located in the O’Hare Academic Center on Ochre Point Avenue. The event is being sponsored by Salve Regina’s chapter of STAND (Student Anti-Genocide Coalition).
Invisible Children (www.invisiblechildren.com) is a social, political and global movement that uses the “transformative power of story to change lives.” The organization produces documentaries to raise awareness and inspire young people to help end the longest running war in Africa.
