NEWPORT, R.I. – The Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy’s first roundtable lunch for the spring semester will focus on the question, “Is America at risk for authoritarianism?”
The roundtable will meet from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31 in the Ochre Court library, located on the first floor.
Members of the Salve Regina University community are invited to the discussion, which will be led by Dr. James M. Ludes, Pell Center executive director and Dr. Luigi Bradizza, assistant professor of political science. The focus of the discussion will reflect upon and examine the effects of questionable laws or practices in the U.S. that limit a citizen’s freedom.
Seating is limited to 15 members of the Salve Regina community, so those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by Wednesday, Jan. 25 to pellcenter@salve.edu.
The Pell Center Roundtable lunch series was developed to explore emerging issues in a small group setting and is intended to encourage an exchange of views.
