All areas of the University community have developed Mission Effectiveness Statements (PDF 214kb) that are widely used in employment interviews, orientation and evaluations.
The Heritage and the Promise (PDF 195kb) is a booklet that gives an introduction to the early days of Salve Regina University, a brief history of Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy, and some information about the future goals of the university.
The national eight-day summer Collegium was developed in 1992 in response to the concern among educators for the future prospects of the religious identity of the Catholic colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. Since its founding, Collegium has developed into one of the most significant national institutions for fostering the integration of faith and the intellectual life on Catholic campuses.
Each year Salve Regina sponsors two faculty members to attend the Collegium. These faculty in turn have developed an overnight version of the Collegium for other Salve Regina faculty. The Salve Regina University Collegium is held either during the January break or in late August. There is also a one day Salve Regina University Collegium for staff members who are interested in sharing in this experience. For information about the national Collegium click here. Information about the Salve Regina University Collegium for faculty or staff can be obtained by emailing mistol@salve.edu.
