Choosing a Major

The most important first step that students can take toward career success is to know themselves and their interests. Our career advisers are happy help students as they begin to identify their educational and career goals, and discuss the variety of academic majors, occupations and industries that may lead them to a satisfying career.

Do What You Are

Salve Regina students have access to “Do What You Are,” an online self-assessment tool that lets them tap into the theory of personality type as they explore majors and careers. By working closely with a career adviser, students can ideally use this instrument to better understand and apply some of their own natural styles and strengths in their career decision-making. The “Do What You Are” tool may be accessed through the Salve Regina Gateway.
