Our Certificate of Graduate Studies (CGS) programs provide students with opportunities for professional development without the formal pursuit of a graduate degree.
The CGS in substance abuse foundations in rehabilitation counseling offers interested students the opportunity for graduate-level study in foundations of substance abuse. To earn this certificate, students complete four courses (12 credits).
- RHB505: Foundations of Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling: History, Principles, Laws and Ethics
- RHB520: Rehabilitation Counseling Practicum (150 hours in an organization serving individuals with substance abuse)
- RHB527: Substance Abuse Counseling and Rehabilitation
- One elective chosen from a list of rehabilitation counseling courses
