Governor's Ball

Governor's Ball

32nd Annual Governor's Ball

Christmas through the Eyes of a Child

The Annual Governor's Ball has a long tradition of raising money for scholarships to benefit the students of Salve Regina. By supporting this festive gala, individuals are helping students achieve their academic goals, receive a quality education at Salve Regina, and acquire a solid foundation needed to become active members of the community.

As we celebrate this year's Governor's Ball, we honor both Salve Regina alumni and students who have and continue to play a vital role in making a better life for our world's children. We hope you will join us in support of this year's event to help this generation of college students ensure a brighter future for the next.

History

In 1977, Salve Regina along with the assistance of Governor J. Joseph Garrahy established the Governor's Ball as a means to introduce corporate support for the University and to raise scholarship funds for the students of Salve Regina. This act of goodwill has benefited countless students over the years. To date, the Ball has raised more than $4.2 million toward academic assistance and has become a well-known holiday tradition in the State of Rhode Island.
